FSG’s core team has been together for over 10 years, forming the backbone of the laboratory and development team for a company that was sold for over 450 million dollars and had developed 4 industry leading products. Our staff has amassed decades of experience in the analytical, quality control and project management fields in the cosmetic, medical device and pharmaceutical industries.
Robert Munroe is a seasoned analytical development and quality control professional with over 19 years of extensive experience in pharmaceutical management, manufacturing, and testing. As the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Founders Science Group LLC, he has been pivotal in developing business opportunities, managing daily operations, and advancing manufacturing and licensing initiatives. His role encompasses overseeing budgetary concerns, coordinating stability indicating assays, and directing OOS investigations. Prior to this, he held significant positions at PreCision Pharmaceuticals, including Analytical Development/Quality Control Director, where he enhanced quality systems for drug product testing and liaised with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance. Robert’s career also includes roles at Armstrong Pharmaceuticals and Copley Pharmaceutical, where he excelled in method development, validation, and system optimization. He holds a B.A. in Chemistry from Bridgewater State College and is highly skilled in cGMP/GLP and FDA Regulations, including CFR 21 Part 11.
Dr. Ronald Gurge is a results-driven project leader and manager with extensive experience in the development of innovative and profitable products for the pharmaceutical, medical device, and cosmetic markets over the past 3 decades. He holds a Ph.D. in Organic/Polymer Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Bridgeport. Dr. Gurge currently serves as Co-Founder and Chief Science Officer at Founders Science Group. Throughout his career, Dr. Gurge has held key positions such Director of Consumer Products R&D at PreCision Dermatology, Associate Director of Product R&D at Collegium Pharmaceutical, and Research Scientist at Gillette Research Institute and Gillette Advanced Technology Center. His expertise encompasses broad formulation, organic and polymer chemistry, and aerosol technology. Dr. Gurge has successfully led the development and commercial launch of various topical drugs, medical devices, and cosmetic products, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. He is also recognized for his contributions to scientific research, holding several patents in his field, authoring numerous scientific publications, and is actively involved in professional organizations like the American Chemical Society, American Academy of Dermatology, and the Society of Cosmetic Chemists.
Mary Ellen Detri is a highly skilled HPLC analytical development chemist with over two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical sciences. She holds a Master of Science in Chemistry from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Environmental Chemistry from New England College. Currently, she serves as the Co-Founder and Director of Scientific Affairs at Founders Science Group, where she coordinates client sample management and oversees analytical method development and validation. She previously held Scientist I and Analytical Chemist positions at PreCision Dermatology and Spherics, Inc. Her extensive expertise includes cGMP/GLP compliance, HPLC method development using various detection techniques, and proficiency in analytical software such as Agilent ChemStation and Waters Empower. Ms. Detri is known for her meticulous attention to detail and her ability to mentor and lead junior chemists in a fast-paced environment.
Lisa Wood is an accomplished financial professional with over 20 years of experience in financial management and business operations. Prior to joining the Founders Science Group Team, Lisa served as the Assistant Controller at Sole Source Construction, LLC, where she oversaw daily financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Lisa’s career is marked by her adeptness at streamlining business practices, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Her previous roles include Executive Director at the Rhode Island Dental Association, where she won five national awards for membership, and CFO at Susan Ennis & Associates. Lisa holds certifications in Project Management and QuickBooks and has completed coursework in Financial Accounting and Business Law. Her dedication to financial precision and organizational efficiency is complemented by her strong interpersonal skills and integrity.
